What is Perspective CMS
Perspective CMS is the new system powering the Bristol Friends of the Earth website. It is an online editing system, or Content Management System (CMS), that allows everyone who wishes to edit content on the BFoE site to do so.
How do I edit content?
To start editing content on the BFoE site, you must first of all contact one of the site operators (either Peter or Julian) and have an account created for you - for this you must provide a user name and password that you wish to let you into the site.
Next you must download the Perspective User Guide HERE (577KB PDF) which will take you through all the steps of editing the site. You can skip the first section as it is already setup.
Rules, Regulations and Tips
Not nice I know but we have to put some rules in:
1) DO Use external image hosting sites such as: http://imageshack.us/ to add images into your page
2) DO Backup the site before editing (Go to: Settings > Backup)
3) DO NOT create, edit or delete users without permission from a site operator
4) DO NOT post content unless you have been told by a site operator you can
5) DO NOT edit content unless you have been told by a site operator you can
